Job Description: 

A Cloud Engineer on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for an organization. To be successful as a cloud engineer on GCP, it’s important to have a strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, and security concepts. 

Responsibilities:  

• Designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP. 
• Automating infrastructure deployment and configuration management processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. 
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of GCP infrastructure and applications. 
• Troubleshooting production issues and providing support for infrastructure-related problems. 

• Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber attacks. 
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration between applications and cloud infrastructure. 
• Staying up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in cloud computing. 
• Participating in capacity planning and demand forecasting to ensure the appropriate scaling of GCP infrastructure. 

Preferred Qualification & Skills: 

• The ideal candidate for a Cloud Engineer on GCP position should have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with GCP services. 

• They should also have experience with automation tools, scripting languages such as Python or Ruby, and a good understanding of networking concepts and security principles. 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
