About the Client

The client, a Startup in media entrainment providing television and film content over the internet at the request and to suit the requirements of the individual consumer, approached Metaorange to modernize their OTT Platform application with the latest technology stack with seamless cloud integration. The client sought to enhance application performance, scalability, and accessibility while reducing maintenance costs and improving overall business agility.

Our Scope

The client is looking for OTT platforms with the following features and capabilities:

Stay up to date with industry trends and technology: the client is expecting to stay with updated technology compatibility issues with modern systems.

Content delivery with speed and quality: With new experiences, pieces of content, or features and overcome buffering in new platforms.

Reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership): Client wants to keep the TCO very low by using Cloud Serverless architecture (PAYG).

Device Independent: The application must be available on each platform like Mobile (Android, iOS and Browser).

Cloud Integration: The application with cloud services to leverage the benefits of scalability, cost-efficiency, and seamless deployment.

Problem with content: Ensure the content is relevant to the viewer and system is providing recommendation to them based on the previous watch, watchlist and rental history.

Data security: Digital rights management (DRM) is the use of technology to control and manage access to copyrighted material in clients for security purposes.

Using the correct revenue model: The client is expecting the customer to rent the video one at a time based on their need, so we need to use transactional video-on-demand (TVOD).
