Job Title : Test Engineers at various levels (Associate to Senior) 

Joining Time :  Sunday, 01 October 2023 

Location: ACT, QLD, SA, VIC 

Job Description:

One of our large Federal Government clients is looking for an experienced Associate and Senior Test Engineers along with Test Managers to join their team in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne. They are seeking to identify suitable Candidates from junior levels to expert and manager levels, to support the department in achieving overall testing strategies, managing effective planning, monitoring and execution of all testing activities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Create and execute complex test cases on appropriate platforms using in-depth technical analysis. 
• Create complex test data within external software vendor environments. 
• Review test cases from team members to ensure quality. 
• Develop and review test plans, cases, task cards, and supporting data. 
• Apply in-depth technical analysis when designing and executing test cases. 
• Assist with defining requirements for test environments. 
• Record and analyze test results; report unexpected outcomes. 
• Contribute to team improvement initiatives, process changes, and test automation. 
• Identify, manage, and document all defects and programming errors. 
• Conduct testing to ensure the ICT Service functions as per requirements. 
• Monitor and manage time and effort; escalate issues as needed. 
• Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring, and training. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders; resolve or escalate issues as required. 
• Perform cost analysis activities. 

Requirements: 

Ability to:

• Analyse information and make recommendations based on evidence 
• Research and make sound decisions based on sound subject matter knowledge and judgement 
• Prioritise competing tasks and work collaboratively to see tasks through to completion 
• Adapt to a changing environment and assist others to adapt. 
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Commerce, Economics 
• Experience supporting, executing, leading and driving testing projects and programs 
• Experience across both manual and automation testing preferred – Selenium, TOSCA, Appium etc 

Please note: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a minimum of a Baseline security clearance. Higher clearances may be required for certain roles.
